I have already cracked the lines, so yes, they are already wet. No leaks were present before except the fuel heater on the fuel filter head. It is on my short list of things to repair. I do notice long starts because of fuel drain-back. Once primed, she popps off withing one to one and a half seconds of cranking.

Let me know if my shaking at idle is injector related or maybe air in the system.

Yes, it is the fuel heater. I replaced the O-rings in mine but it still leaked, so I used some RTV on the outside to seal it and it is disconnected now. I don't really need it much in TX.

  • the black rubber grommet/fitting with the wires coming out horizontally on the top of the filter head leaks on my 7.3 too. i did not yet research the layout inside the filter head so I was not sure what that was. fuel heater you say?
