amir oru maga arr scored many un commercial film

he him self say small boy, so queastion also silly . Ameer need to learn things from senior dir like sanker, mani...ARR done many movie with young dir like

AR murugadoss, Kala Prabu for sakkarakatti,etc.. this is not right place to ask question.

Why are ameer asking a queastion like that in a audio launch? Don't like that all!

I do agree that he hasn't composed a lot for such movies. The reason is very simple - his salary is very high - way high compared to Yuvan or Raja. And the producers who can afford him seldom produce these so-called "unarvu poorvamana" movies.

Also, it is within ARR's right to choose his movies. Even Raja decided not to compose for "Periyar". No one could fault him for that.

Slumdog Millionaire, Swades, Rang De Basanti, Lagaan, Fire, Earth, Water, Karuthamma, Kizhakku Cheemaiyile, Andhimandharai, - none of these are outright commercial films.

For every Kadhal Kondein and Paruthiveeran, Yuvan has also done a Silambattam and Aegan. Even Saroja was not a Unarvu Poorvamana film. I'm not blaming Yuvan or ARR, cos it's not their job to look for such films. On the same note, there are many beautiful songs that ARR has given for hopeless films like Taj Mahal and the latest ATM and Sakarakatti. He has always done his job well, so why should he be blamed if the film directors fail to utilize his work in giving good movies?

Did Ameer approached ARR in the first place? Right from his first film, Mounam Pesiyathey to Paruthiveeran, only Yuvan has worked with him. On the other hand, ARR has worked with many new dir from Shankar, Vikraman, Venus Balu, Manoj Kumar, K Subash in 90's to Jyothi Krishna, Kalaprabu, Praveen Kanth, N. Krishna in recent times. So what's wrong if he grabs the chance to work with big directors if and when they approach him?

I don't see anything silly in Ameer's question. List down the films your so called Oscar winner ARR has scored for 'UNARVU POORVAMANA' films... way less than what Yuvan has done and ofcourse don't even come close to our legend IR.

I ama ARR fanatic look at my user id thats his recording studio's name so Ameer's question is the sensible and also the trut...

Amir's question is useless.Even a common man like me knows abt ARR.He has worked with many new comers and debut directors.few films which comes to my mind at he moment are ..Jaane Tu, Jillu nu oru kadhal,sakkarakatti,rang de basanti, etc......the list is big guys.....

and about the genre of films......ARR has worked in almost all sort of film genre....he doesnt choose to compose for masala movies or any big budget movies all the time...silly question from this great director....
