  • It's really bad at The Sacramento Bee, my friend , who has worked there for 20 years lost her health care at McClatchy last year. HR told her she missed 2.5 hrs and due to this her health care would be taken away. The dirty secret is she worked off the clock many long hours in violation of the labor department's wage and hr standards. HR knows this and still she lost her health care. Very trash company, and Gary Pruitt needs to leave.

  • Gimme a break, McClatchey would have been in the toilet years earlier with the rest of print had it not been for Gary. Bitter victims of the economy should look elsewhere for their pound of flesh.

  • Good god this guy is HIGH as a kite.

Let's see.... stock down to less than $11/share since his brilliant purchase of Knight Ridder.

Zero leadership and all the money going to line the pockets of fat, overpaid people like Gary Pruitt. $1 million bonus for his purchase of Knight Ridder.... WHY?

A sad time for newspapers but especially sad for anyone working under this fucking idiot.

Ride that company into the ground you monkey!
