  • Did you use a 500k pot?

  • of course...

  • That was really awesome. So do you like that Dimarzio pickup in the neck? It sounds like a really big strat.

  • the dimarzio sds1 is in neck position

sound like P90 or seymour ssl4

  • @slmnv5 I use active EMG's in my fender strat and love it: S, SA, & 81. I've noticed the MG-510's pickups are a little dark but I haven't switched them out. If I did I may go with EMG's. I've heard good reviews on dimarzio's but have no personal experience with them. I usually see players go with semour duncan for passive pickups. My MG-510 is working well though the AC- Adapter input shorts out, the input needs repair so I'm forced to use just batteries.

  • @slmnv5 ibz-dims are really good( i have em in a RG Prestige 2620qm)- pretty good output with good sound.

  • i love the neck sound

  • @JonBot26 my 510 had no capacitors prob. so far. plays well into sd-50 and some old cheap tascam midi module. Do you know if ibz-dimarzio are any good to replace the casio stock pups?

  • I really like the legato and sequence licks! Any references for learning similar patterns? I just ordered my MG-510 and will be running into a hardware synth direct. I've read the PG series were known for the capacitor issue, but I can't find info on the MG series with that problem. Regardless it's a surprisingly well constructed strat copy, and proves the Roland GK 13 pin + module system to be an up-selling joke. Did you experience the capacitors failing gradually, string by string?

  • holy jazz batman!

  • @dvamateur

This was made by the same factory as Ibanez in Japan (about 1987) I think the woodwork is the same as Ibanez Roadstar and superb Casio electronics inside. Just bought 1 recently and very happy with it, tracks great, I feel slight tiny but this is my laptop and complex VST I use. hope if I put it into hardware synth, no noticeable delay

  • I didn't know that the Casio is such a great guitar. Sound like a Stratocaster, in a good way. Excellent playing, too!

  • et excellente guitare ^^

  • yeaaaaaah!!! excellent jeu!!!
