This is an interesting town hall meeting. McCain really doesn't answer anybody's concerns. He just pretends to care. He is not a maverick. He is voting along party lines with the republicans. We must insist that Congress pass health care reform that includes a public option.

see the thing is, in america the health care industry is just that: an industry concerned with profit with share holders, boards, ceo's et al. in contrast, in canada the health care system is concerned with only one thing, MAKING SICK PEOPLE WELL, i feel that all doctors in the states working within the system are defacto violators of the hippocratic oath, because the system that they work in does more harm than good, health care is a basic human right, not just for those who can afford it

Getting the state out of services would be a great idea. Air the state is not really involved in besides polluting it so providing air is not a service done by the government. It is something provided by natural and our evolving biological systems that uses it.

I'm no fan of McCain but he is smart. First, he has his Town Hall meeting at a huge church and because its private property no one can protest unless they are on the street.
Second, he knows what to say. He says the right things to make the people believe he cares. But the bottom line is he's not reaching across the isle to the Dem's.

Um, if you go to another event like that I would suggest trying to sit near the audio speakers. I had to jack up the volume just to hear them talk and scared the living crap out of my dog when everyone cheered, screamed, or booooed
