I like how ubuntu netbook gives you more control of the OS. Jolicloud feels too basic.

Both systems have their pros and cons but best of all is Free but windows has most games written for them as well as apple. But wit Ubuntu at least its not a marked man like windows. Vista was the only original OS from windows all others were built on someone else s coding.

Windows Kernel has been ever so growing while Ubuntu Kernel has always been like Unix Linux and Apple are same family its not first in first out like in windows. First process done is first one loaded. In windows its ok wait he came first wait for me to finish even with two virtual processors its two processors saying I'll take the next one please as the process the information.

40 gb HDD

512 MB RAM

INTEL PENTIUM 4 (2.1GHZ) (extremely old)

and the boot is much more fast than the one whit windows in my new pc

i'm the opposite,can't stand windows 7, got used to ubuntu on gnome for too many years

this computer is ok hard to get use too but thats how everyone starts my cousin has ubuntu it was ok. Still preferr gateway window 7 though.
