Howdy, folks!

Heard this song recently on Pandora, decided to pick it up. It's quite good. I don't know much about the band, unfortunately.

This song comes from the album "Sound Neighbours: Contemporary Music in Northern Ireland."

Enjoy!

--Lyrics--

I was born on the border,
my father's from Tyrone,
my mother Donegal
Heard the talk on both sides of the border,
think by now, I might've heard it all

[Chorus]
I'm a northern man,
from a northern plan,
from where I stand, I see a northern land
From where I stand, I'm a northern man

Always tried to form my thoughts freely,
free to decide what decisions need to be made
I'll change my mind if it's a lesson to me
Don't know how I'd change if I feel afraid

[Chorus]

My bad dreams have changed as the times did
but, I've learned to see another way and still be who I am.
My heart & my soul are united,
they both agree that I'm a northern man

[Chorus]

  • Thank you for sharing! just a note on the lyrics:

Second verse, the last line is "Don't know how I'd change if I feel afraid." (except he shoves it all together to fit the meter ^_~)

And... I'm not convinced that's the true lyrics for the first line of the last verse, but it's not clear in the song and I can't find official lyrics.

I think it's "I've a dream to change as the times do," but I could be wrong.

    Again, thanks for sharing! ^___^

  • Glad ya liked the song, and thanks for the correction.

I'm not sure about the last line either, I suppose it could go either way.
