In the browser based online game, it is your task to build up a small Polis (Greek for town) to a huge metropolis, establish a powerful army and navy and finally conquer islands far away. On your trip to glory and honor, you should also take care of the gods of the Greek mythology: Zeus', Heras, Athenes and Poseidons grace will decide about your victory or defeat.

Grepolis is a strategy game settled in the Ancient Greece. The game was developed and published by the German company InnoGames. The German version of the browser based online game has been released in december 2009 (www.grepolis.de). The game will be translated into several languages, in 2010 the first non-German versions will go live.

InnoGames already created and published the games Tribal Wars (four million active players) and The West (two million active players)
