  • This is a great house . . . if you want to run a haunted house for Halloween. Otherwise, get a bucket of gasoline, some chimney matches, set it on fire, and run like hell. It'll cost less than $150,000.

  • That slab crack... Uneven settling, or expansive soil drying out? It can make a big difference to remediation cost. One takes slab jacking, the other takes a soaker hose around the perimeter. It looks like there was a little cut & fill on the lot to get a level pad, so settling of the fill is a real possibility

I'd pass on this one unless the location is especially desirable for some reason.

  • This for 150,000 you are crazy I can find a 2 story 2,236 sq ft home 4 beds 2.5 baths built in 2007 for this price

  • Todays word boys and girls is deferred maintainance.

  • @TheCanadianPublic

Well not really it works better if the realtor is showing the house and then you discover it.

Shock factor sort of like if the former owner can't have it no one can.

Lived in a apartment community they didn't mark up or tag outside of the apartment but when they got served the eviction papers there wasn't one blank wall in the place and all the amenties were gone as well.

  • "one bd w/ authentic contemporary folk art"

  • I suspect the former homeowner did that, not vandals after he moved out. Note that it's only in one room of the house-if it was random gang bangers, they would have tagged the whole house, IMHO.

  • Gang tags inside the house? What would be the point of that? Wouldn't it be better if they were located outside the house where everyone can see them?

  • Very good point. If the lot is worth $149K you have to factor the cost to tear the place down into the equation. This one is not for the faint of heart.

  • As Bette Davis would say, "What a dump!" It really looks like a tear down without any redeeming value whatsoever. Good luck with this one Jim. The "artistry" could be gang tags and that would not speak well for the neighborhood.

  • Hey they have "Energy Saver" Bulbs!

    I want in Jim!
