I fell in love with the flute in 1971 after hearing my first Lateef recording. I was a little blonde girl age 20 and have never been the same since. The Flute and the Drum, they Speak to me ! ! ! ! ! ! !

it is to rudolph's credit that a master such as yusef lateef would collaborate with him on various projects for over 15 years. here we're treated to a vocal quality from lateef on the flute and balafon textures underneath. where else can one find this kind of creativity?
