I made this video to discuss the Kahr line of pistols and how I feel they produce a fine pistol. I feel they are finally getting the recognition they deserve as one of the premier carry guns.

  • Just wondering why you swore off Kahr polymer guns?

  • @tiffmc80 I am not the biggest fan of polymer gun to begin with and I felt Kahr did not put enough effort into the design and production of their polymer frames.

  • Great looking pistols, especially the MK and K40.

  • @danfive555 Thanks, those are the two I kept. I swore off Kahr polymer guns. Of course I do not like polymer guns period.

  • I'm a new Kahr owner (as of this week). I test fired different Kahr models (and other brands) before settling on a K40. So far it's been great other than some break in issues, which should work themselves out.

I have to say that Kahr's polymer moulding is terrible. The grip feels terrible and actually hurts my hand (the checking bites into my hand when firing). I own a XD40 that is quite comfortable to shoot so I'm not new to polymer guns. They, definitely, could have done better there.

  • @TheYankeeMarshal Agree Horrible QC. Mag does not drop, I have to pull mine out. One mag has constant FTF. Recoil spring is very difficult for reassembly. Not as reliable as other polymers for half the price.

  • Kahrs are a GREAT design but quality control is an issue that wasn't an issue in the late 90's when introduced. I carry a K-40 made in 98 and it is REALABLE. I have a CW9 of recent manufacture and so far so good. I had a CW9 that was a total POS.

  • wood grips look nice. i dont care for the crappy black tactical look

  • i have a p 45 black and left it under my pillow for a weekend and it started to rust quick and the white mark on my rear sight fell off anybody else had rust problems but a great gun never fail rapid fire bump fire smooth

  • what kind of mags are those, i know they;re Kahrs mags, but they appear to have a black spacer at the gap at the base, my PM9 mags are all steel at the base, yours appear to be black in the gap at the base on your PM40. (or maybe its just the light in the video)
