E13: Losing You

Joe's POV
I probably read the letter three or four times. Selena knew what I was doing so she slowly put my hand down for me stop reading the letter. I looked at her, feeling like an idiot. "She wrote that yesterday, she didn't think you'd show up and say bye" Selena said. "Sure I was mad--I still am but of course I'd say bye" I said. She smiled but her smile quickly faded. She put her hand on my shoulder and said, "Hey, I'm sorry about how things went down." I tried to smile. "It's okay I guess" I said trying to hide my pain.

Selena's POV
He looked so hurt. I couldn't help but feel bad. "So Demi didn't loose her favorite Jonas right?" I said trying to cheer him up." After all, he is her favorite Jonas, whether she wants to admit it or not. "Of course not, she never will" he said with a smile. Not a fake one. "Wait, her favorite Jonas?" he asked with a puzzled look on his face. "Yes Joe, anybody with eyes can see that she feels closest to you." I said. He smiled again. Finally, he's been frowning all day. "Well anyway, it's a good thing she didn't loose you because--never mind." "No, what? Tell me" he pleaded.


Meanwhile with Nick and Kevin

Nick's POV
"What are you talking about?" I said, acting like I didn't know what he's talking about. Damn, he's on to me but then again Kevin's just creepy like that. Ask anyone. "Don't even try Nicholas, I know you're going for Demi" he said. Oh no here we go again with the using of my first name. "So what if I am? Joe had his turn now it's mine!" I shot back.

Kevin's POV
Okay, so I pissed him off a little. I decided not to push any more of his buttons. "Fine but if it doesn't work out, don't say I didn't warn you." I got up and left him.

Back with Selena and Joe

Selena's Flashback

Selena: *about to go downstairs but stops when she hears Demi and Dallas talking about something*
Demi: *almost in tears* Dal, I don't know what I'll do if I lose him over this
Dallas: *hugs her* Shhh, it'll be okay baby sis
Selena: *feels bad for Demi*
Demi: *in tears* No it's not! Dallas, you don't understand
Dallas: What do you mean?
Demi: I can't lose him, he's my best friend! If i do, it would be like losing Sel.
Selena: *whispers: oh my god...*

end of flashback


Joe's POV
"What?" I said with a sad look on my face. Selena nodded. Now I feel guilty. "Joe, that's big if you didn't realize. Demi and I have been best friends since Barney. And you, she just met you a couple of months ago." "Well don't I feel special?" I said trying to brighten things up. "This is serious!" Selena said followed by a slight hit on my arm. "Sorry. And I do feel special" I said. I was in serious mode again. "Joe, do me a favor. Never hate her, please." "I can never hate her. If I lose her it'll be like losing my brothers." I said. It was the truth. I never really pictured my life without Demi until now. Now that I can picture what it's like, I don't even wanna see it in reality.
