this is one reason open-source sucks, sometimes it's best to just pay for something to get quality

Does it really matter if we skip number versions? I mean it's just a number and going to 2.5 now (since it'll be a long term release) really makes sense.
-
well explained! thankx
-
I vote 2.5, where do we go to vote officially?
-
Love it, thanks Ron and Sandy
-
why the heck did they NOT give 1.6 the version 2.0? Would have saved a lot of headache
-
2.5 is the best option ;) for the new and great release circle.

Just do the 2.5

Why, why, why would you ruin a popular CMS by constantly making web builders go through this hassle of redoing their sites every 6 months.. The constant headaches of getting your third party add-ons and custom templates to be in sync and update with this is so frustrating, that i"m too the point of leaving Joomla permantely and migrate back to Wordpress! I've never had so many headaches with any other CMS before.. It's also extremely expensive, especially when GPL licenses must be repurchased
