i was at a lake last year, and the bass had made circular beds. i was using kelly worms, and i burned them up! it was awesome!

@DSMbassman. That would be good if you were fan casting around spawning flats. I probably wouldn't recommend it for sight fishing a bedding bass but if it works for you then go with it.

How do you know what type of bait to use on a bed? i like to worm fish, but i have been trying to experiment with other creature baits... what do you look for to determine what bait to throw? Worm, Lizzard, grub, jig, brushhog, etc?

@jnettlesjr. Its usually experimentation bud. If they don't each something 6", go to something 4". If that doesn't work maybe change colors. If that doesn't work, go to something 2 inches. :o)

would a lizard with a bulllet weight trigger a strike on a bed since it looks like its eating the eggs?

its alot harder to fin there beds on river..... thats were i fish... i mostly look for cuts in the bank and cover.
