When Harry Met Sally-Coffee Table quarrel

Harry and Sallys friends Jess and Marie are attracted to each other during their very first meeting. After a whirlwind courtship, they find themselves madly in love and are engaged to be married. They are excited about setting up a new home and are busy decorating the house. Jess brings home an unfashionable Wagon wheel coffee table which does not suit Maries stylish tastes. They find their aesthetic sense and tastes are totally different and the silly furniture issue turns into an intense argument. After having gone through the cycle of being in love, building a life together with his partner, seeing it torn apart and ending in a nasty divorce, Harry is cynical about the entire process and advises them not to spoil a good relationship over trivial issues. Even though Jess is not entirely convinced, he tries to see Maries point of view and throws the coffee table out of the house (and out of their lives), ending the argument in order to preserve the harmony of their relationship.
