@EvergladeSports *Team*, singular. Winnipeg is the only place left in Canada that could realistically host an NHL team. You can talk about Hamilton and Mississauga, but those are even bigger doubts, because they would have to take a chunk of people from existing fanbases (Toronto and Ottowa), which isn't likely. Quebec isn't realistic because it's a French market. Basically Winnipeg was the only place left, and it could very well fold -- the city just isn't that big, and it already failed once.

Quite honestly it doesn't make sense to have more teams in Canada economically because there isn't the population for it. Many times there has been talk about a second team in Toronto, or moving one to Winnipeg (which just happened) but that city only has 500K people. Say what you will but if it were feasible to move more teams to Canada it would have happened. I do however think teams in the South who don't get much attendance should be contracted.
