Erika's acting is not overacting by any means. If you had watched the previous six months of One Life to Live leading up to this very scene, you would better understand Viki's extreme reaction to David and the raw emotion pouring out of a woman who is on the verge of a complete emotional breakdown. They don't give six Emmys to a woman who is overacting. I think you are the one who is having a bad day - not Erika Slezak.

it wasn't overacting. Viki had learned from her worst enemy that the man she came to love as her brother...the man she welcomed into her home and family... was not. And it also proved that if they had scammed together him being the Lord heir than it may also have proved that Dorian had murdered her father...whom Viki still loved very much at the time. I don't know how long you've watched the show but Viki always loved her father til he found out that he did something horrible to her.

Update: after 7 or 8 years recurring as Rebecca on Passions, she made a pit stop back to Llanview in the summer of '08...but it was a short and disappointing return. Tina seemed to have lost her touch over the years. And I never cared for Krista as Tina.

this s/l and the big DID s/l were so brilliant...Erika Slezak was spot-on perfect throughout the entire thing...I hate David as a Buchanan it's a really dumb re-write...I just wish Andrea Evans was playing Tina during this s/l...Erika deserved the Emmys she won for her brilliant performances here!

This is part of the reason why I still don't really care for David Vickers to this day. Okay, yes, he's cute and he TRIES to be funny and all, BUT he's still an opportunist and now he's actually a Buch. Disgusting!

This was one of the storylines leading up to the big DID story, Viki was on the verge of a major breakdown here. I think Erika did a great job showing that.
