I guess it is not on the market any more, but you migth get it at ebay (also search: DATA BECKER 12000, under this label the collection was first released)... masterbits took over the series and have a volume 2 released.....hmmmm:

  • does this replace the need for a mixer?? i ahvent seen a video yet that shows the lemur having a mixer type interface....if it does...im sold :]

  • @walkingtrash

as long as you stay within your DAW, it is easy to make a mixer control (fader, pan, etc.). But if you have hardware, you still need a mixer for the audio signals.

The Lemur can control every Midi or OSC signal.....

  • The Lemur is great probably will get one but I always liked the tactile feel of real buttons and knobs.

  • yep! you´re right. But the freedom of interfacedesign is worth it...

Furthermore you can combine your Lemur with other controllers for tactile feedback (e.g.rotary encoders)

  • very cool... always like yr videos man... keep them coming... the song is very nice... can i get a copy?

  • nice to hear :-))

there is a link for a mp3 at the info of the video. feel free to download and share!... (creative commons license)

With the wide spread of possibilities on the Lemur some complexity naturally comes with. But as a starter you can use predefined control templates from the JM-user section or if you you work with Ableton Live+max4live you can use Jazzmutants MU, which is a detailed plug and play surface.

  • nice!
