I agree.
Vista was an utter failure and everyone knew it. Stick with XP or try Windows 7.

why do you try vista recovery disc........download it and burn it.......and the boot from the disc and use startup repair ...

I agree Vista sucks, but that think sounded like it could have been retired atleast 10 years ago.

There is no issue with Vista here. The hard drive is failing or has already failed. Need to replace hard disk.
