A bit of fun playing around with my Seiko DS-250 & DS-310, includes some additive programming, envelope adjustment, playing with detune, chorus, vibrato, vibrato delay and patch layering. Hope the sound quality is decent, I used a new Kodak EIS hd camera I got at a yard sale for $20. (720p, Score!)

  • can you save the patches you make?

  • @bbow73 You can save 4 patches to memory which is backed up via two AA batteries.

  • @latigidGolana yeah, built in keyboard is not velocity sensitive, but it is sensitive via midi, so you could do that.

  • Sorta Synclavier and Microwave like - has the spectral morphing quality reminiscent of those synths. I have a DS-250, but none of the modules, although I do have a couple original Microwaves and a couple of PPG Wave 2.2s - the Seiko is as unique as those, especially with the synth programmer.

  • damn dood, that is very cool.

  • I dont think I would ever use the keys on that thing....perhaps just rip out the board and just us it as a ver industrial looking sounf module lol...the keys were just unbearable in this video lol...

  • Thanks. i remember seeing an ad for this keyboard, I think in Keyboard Magazine, and I always wanted to hear one.
