What on earth would "the people" use it for: convert it into a hotel? It seems to fit the bill for a residence of a Head of State. And, it's an important part of British heritage.
Is there alot of security on the grounds when the queen is in residence? I mean, it's not like you can walk up to the door at dinner time and ask for the queen, right.
@BillDFC They can't because this castle is privately owned by the HM The Queen, and so is not owned by the State.
