Sebastian is a legend, but apparently he sucks at designing shoes.

Seriously I have these Ariakes and they suck for what they are designed for. The underside of the toes is completly flat and smooth, meaning that if you're trying to precision to anything smooth and thin you're garunteed to slip right off. And it makes doing wall tricks on anything smoother than treebark freakin' impossible as well.

@Bearded0ne actually they are flat because the more surface area there is making contact with the object, the more grip you get. on a smooth rail it wont matter wat the shape is it matters howmuch of the shoe touches it. but sometimes rails are just too slippery for any shoes, but if u wipe the bottem of your ariakes they normaly have excellent grip on any surface.

@TheTraceurBoy yeah! :) you just come to realise that the names ect dont matter.... it just becomes learning.... im glad others think like me and my club do :) shows the community is out there! haha... but yeahh, its strange cause parkours actualy becoming so big that its lost a little of this unsaid feeling... like i have been to london to get a qualification in parkour teaching to benefit my club and it all has to be saftey checked and standard which is against the whole point. strange.

@oliz2freeruning2pk At the very beginning, I always thought of it as "tricking", until I went through things in my life that showed me the true mental potential of what we call "Parkour". It should be called, "being a true human". We were made to think more efficiently, as we practitioners know, and also to perform more efficiently. But yeah, I hear what you're saying :)

@TheTraceurBoy oh dear. parkour and freerunning are just the names given to the movement created by sebastian and his friends when he was a kid and the yamakasi group at some other point after that. david belle and sebastian were both part of that group as well as many others. they both left for personal reasons... the names are unimportant. whats important is what you take from the movement, is it just tricks to you or a way of self expression, learning to find peace and yourself. peace man

@SamLynch13 Nah man, Belle is the founder of the Parkour movement while Foucan is the founder of the Freerunning movement: There's small quirks that make each sport different, but to not get into much detail, they're both art's of movement.
