(Director: Richard Mosdell) This documentary shows just how talented sport karate athletes are and the challenges they go through at one of the most prestigious international multi-sport events, the Pam-Am Games (1999, Winnipeg, Canada). A few years old, with the competition using the previous WKF rules, but it's still just as exciting and important as when it was captured on film. Features members of the USANKF National Karate Team and the NKA Canada National Karate Team. US Head Coach Tokey Hill & Canadian Head Coach Manual Monzon.

  • I'm so tired of People who critisize sport martial arts...Let me tell you why they're so angry....Cause they know they'd get their fuckin ass Kicked against someone with real skills....They preach about the "art" and walk around with a subtle ego, then claim they only use it for "self defence" against street thugs who can't even fight anyway...If you hate Sport karate, Judo, MMA, wrestling, then shut your mouth and back it up before you critisize what they do.

  • thugs? what thugs? where are these thugs? i walk around at night taking back alleys on purpose hoping some "thug" will attack me, where are they hiding. where is there hideouts location. these are the things i want to know.

  • @80JayJay8 Know what you are talking about before you shoot your mouth off.

  • @80JayJay8

If you knew what you are talking about, you would know that a traditional martial artist would outclass a sport fighter in any situation. Martial arts are about self development and defending oneself efficiently, not trading blows over and over, and whether or not the thugs who attack you on the sreet know how to fight is not the issue. Real martial arts are not about who is better at fighting, and who, like in your case, has a big ego.

  • @80JayJay8

By the way, if someone used sport techniques in a street fight, they'd be lucky to get out alive, let alone win. Sport thechniques are only good for competition, not self defense. Think before you speak.

  • @80JayJay8

Sport martial artists are not the only ones who have so called "real skill". Don't shoot your mouth off like that.

  • @bananabread119 You still say that after Lyoto Machida,GSP,Chuck Liddell,Anderson Silva,Jon Jones, and half of the K-1 roster has proven how wrong such an assumption is? Okay,well...best of luck to you then

  • @80JayJay8 that is the smartest thing anyone has ever said on here. Regardless if your not Karate.

  • @DethStryque I wondered about that. Was he trained as a Karate guy? I saw them fight here in Las Vegas. Or was he just kick boxing. I know Hill has explored other styles of fighting.

  • @ciganodeouro haha you tell them! I want second round! haha..

  • Jokey Hill...Whens the last time he did anything? Because standing in front of your opponent is a GREAT thing to teach students. Stay in the pocket and get your face punched in...
