yes they make fun of dems too, but since we already know and have established that snl is a liberal leaning show, theres a difference when they satirize dems and when they do it to reps. You cant help but feel, as a third party observer, that when they make fun of dems its almost like snl is laughing with them, when they make fun of republicans it feels they are laughing at them. I never thought about this. I don't pay attention to politics (I'm 27 BTW), I just see no need because it's like an endless debate about religion that will go nowhere and that you can do nothing about. It's like talking about your dream car in great detail, when you can't get it. etc. Anyways ya I never thought that SNL would affect this stuff.

The whole of American media is BS, foolio. Astroturfing is when corporations pay people to go online and post things all over the internet to make it look like there's more support for something than there actually is (ie nuclear power, as we're seeing right now). They do it because their livelihood is threatened and there's enough money in industry to pay people to do it.
