I know zombie survival games have been a trend (and they tend to be sucky, too), but I'd love to see a zombie survival game made with these mechanics, just because of the survival factor. The tension it would add to the gameplay sound a lot interesting to me.
Slow moving enemies that can only die with a sure headshot, and swarm upon you once they know where you are. Imagine now the desperation you'd feel trying to reload your revolver while seeng the rotten corpses coming towards you...

The mechanics work brilliantly, it took me less then an hour to learn to use the guns effectively, my patience was repaid ten-fold with the immense satisfaction from having mastered a skill, from truly mastering a skill, not just gaining some XP in a game.
I hope the basic idea gets developed further. Imagine detailed firearms simulation in a game similar to Stalker Call of Pripyat and how it could strengthen tension, immersion and sense of survival. It could work as more than an experiment.
