Someone show me the way.
I don't want to be blinded by the sun.
The silence is louder in the infinite dark abyss of space.
How can I escape the darkness
when I can't walk into the light?
When the familiar turns unfamiliar
existence takes a different turn.
How important is knowledge in this day and age?
Do we need it to merely exist?
Which way do I go?
The blue light in the black holes?
Or, the blues and greens of the earth?
I turn around.
And, fly back on my soul dust wings.
Towards Earth.
Towards home.

  • One can not be afraid to progress and improve. We do this through belief and determination in ourselves and a willingness to expand our knowledge and our sphere of experience. Through our drive to become more than we are a willingness to learn while having faith in ourselves not to be afraid of change and progression outside of comfort zones is the key to this I think. A wonderful poem my friend, I love it. :) I hope you are doing well? :) x

  • Thanks, Warren. I think you're right that as long as people have faith in themselves they can progress and succeed at anything they put their minds to. As far as outside of comfort zones, I agree with that up to a point. I think it depends on the situation people find themselves in. I mean, I don't think people want to be in a position where they feel like they could be in danger of their health or their life. Thanks for the comment. I'm sorry the reply comes late.

  • Nice.I got rick rolled.

  • Glad you enjoyed the poem. :) Not sure what you meant by Rick rolled, maybe if I had started singing one of his songs in the middle of my poem, but all the writes I recite are my own work. Thanks for the comment. :)

  • I <3 it.

Fuck those haters below. That's really good, and I just happened to run across it whilst in a philosophical conversation with a friend on politics, ethics, and specifically genetic research... Thank you!

  • Thanks. :) I honestly don't know why this poem is so much more popular than my others, though. Seems I got a lot of hater comments on this video when I first posted it a few weeks ago. Not sure why that is, but I'm glad you gave me a nice comment. Always appreciated. :)

  • Oh my, you have over 6,000 views on this video in under a month, that's amazing! And well deserved;it's a very nice poem!
