One of the hardest violin concertos performed by one of the best violinists alive. Her tone is unlike that of many world-class musicians I've heard. Accompanied by the London Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Andre Previn.

  • ok gonna say something silly... but why are female string musicians always so pretty?

  • really....

do you know anything about violin?

    or violinists?

Mutter does WAY more than just play the notes (something which in itself is particularly difficult in this work) seriously, if you don't like it... watch another version, don't litter the internet with your inaccuracies.

  • @Benedium They aren't, just the ones you see on album covers are.

  • @peterSclarke It's also in Robin Hood. I checked.

  • @assindiastignani Incorrect. It's from the 1936 film "Anthony Adverse"

  • @Benedium because they have soul written on their faces? :) have a nice day :)

  • @McSplat loll

  • @Benedium Ida Haendel isn't "pretty" and she blows Mutter out of the water.

  • @07regia The slow movement is a re-working of the balcony love scene between Errol Flynn and Olivia de Havilland from the film "The Adventures of Robin Hood" (1939??).

  • @Benedium Because they have the world's best photographers, make-up artists, lighting technicians, directors and the most modern photo studios imaginable...not to mention the possibilities of touching up any photo with digital computer technology. To be fair, a few of them are actually pretty, but with the resources at their disposal, the Hunchback of Notre Dame could be made to look attractive.

  • Ahead music like this, everyone should bow...
