Mostly makes sense - except "life is never awful." Holocaust survivors and rape victims might disagree. I think a more accurate statement would be "life is never wholly awful" - because even in the darkest circumstances there are some individuals who find light and joy.

I actually was to the point where it was no longer A=B=C
I got so clingy to my "Bs" that i didn't NEED "A"
I just started thinking about my "B's" or should i say my "IBs" (irrational beliefs) and thus, for me, it was B=C
I was acting out of control from time to time, because my "Bs" which i chose to think about by myself, were determining my feelings.
one step farther, I would actually SEEK the "A" in order to trigger B and C. I created the "A" in order to trigger my "B"
Thanks REBT

This is a rational and reasonable approach to life, and some call it the path of least resistance. Going with nature instead of against creates better outcomes, and allows for a happier life with less shame and guilt.

Ellis is typical of subjectivists and Chomsky linguistics. First he detaches our emotions from factual reality. Arguing that our emotions are subjective and values are arbitrary concepts. Then he misuses the term "rational". Ellis is a "rationalist". are
Yeah really enjoyed that. I think for me, in terms of the three acceptances, Unconditional-Other-Acceptance is the hardest one to comprehend. I believe that people should treat me as fairly as I would treat them and cannot and will not accept that they may from time to time treat me unfairly.
I guess this means I hold onto inflexible irrational beliefs.

@KevBaz78 Yeah, I guess that's what it means. Ask yourself this: Is it compulsory for others to treat you fairly; is there a law of the universe that commands it?
Hint: If it were compulsory, if there were such a law, they'd have no choice and would always treat you fairly. Since they don't always treat you fairly, we can deduce that it's not compulsory or inevitable.
Perhaps that's more than a hint. :-)
