The band backing up Chubby in this scene and all through out this movie[Don't Knock the Twist] is the Carroll Bros from Philly. My Dad,Jimmy Chick is the drummer.

The story goes: Mrs. Dick Clark saw him and said, "He looks like a Chubby Checker," instead of a "Fat" Domino, & the name stuck. It's also said that he lost a great deal of weight in the 1st yr. of touring after "The Twist" became a hit. Proof positive; "The Twist" works for weight loss!

The Marvelettes also did this as a cover song on the album "Sing Hits Of 62".
