the stumps on my left hand are now 2 years old... but despite having only 6 normal fingers I can still do just about anything.

I'm asking for donations to enable me to buy finger prosthetics. you can help here http://www.microgiving.com/profile/fingers

No I don't have or use prosthetics. I have no health insurance or more for such nice things.

  • Just curious... How do the wonderful authorities take your fingerprints, now? Don't they want at least 10 -- maybe they can take some fingerprints borrowed from your neighbour.

  • @hjones1 - I have had finger print cards done for federal security clearance, and CAC Cards. they just place an X in the box's with the missing fingers, and in the comments section state amputation.

  • What did you do to your fingers?

  • @sorryunlucky - crushed left hand

  • @BurnScarred Crushed them in/with?

  • @sorryunlucky - serpentine drive belt. I don't recommend it.

  • @BurnScarred Thanks for the info. I almost lost 3 myself to the stupid hedge clipper. Damn machine.

  • It was the first time I tried cards, but I worked very very hard to be able to do as much as possible with what I have to work with. I cannot do everything, and I have far more limitations than I like to admit, but I do pretty good. If I worked at the cards a while I'm sure I could do a better job of it now. and the funny thing is the amputations happened on July 7th (see video date)

  • Watching you do that with you're condition gets my attention! You do it so easily! I have no amputations but I don't have near the hand function you do! To shuffle cards takes me 3 minutes. I can't transfer half the deck off the other hand! I have to place and pick. nervous system can't capture the current joint position in real time so I have to watch and go slow enough to control objects. Hands can't flex very well either. I'll post a video so you can see.
