Employees at Christie, a global leader in Digital Cinema and manufacturer of a wide range of digital projection technologies and solutions, supports many charities in the Kitchener-Waterloo Region. Christie is one of the largest hi-tech participants in the United Way campaign, holding numerous fund-raising events, canvassing employees for contributions and providing a substantial company donation, on top of employee contributions. Last year (2009) the company donated more than $100,000 in corporate and employee contributions.

Gerry Remers, President and COO of Christie hosted the 2010 kickoff and challenged employees to reflect in their giving the success that the company is having in the market today. The company is experiencing double-digit revenue growth and has expanded its workforce over the past year to meet demand for its visual solutions. 'Share the wealth and give back to the community' was the theme of Mr. Remers' remarks. (Gerry Remers was the 2009 United Way Executive Campaign Chair and currently sits on the United Way Campaign Cabinet. Kimberley Hogan, Christie's VP of HR, is chair of the United Way Human Resources Committee and sits on the Board of Directors.)
