This MAY be the second-EVER Bi-Directional Man-Powered Elevator on YouTube, NEXPAR having the first.
This is a Montgomery Traction Bi-Directional Man Powered Elevator, outside the Food Court at The Mall at Rockingham Park, Salem, New Hampshire.
This is a special one indeed! Not only is it a fast traction model (a bit slower going down), but you can choose WHICH SIDE TO TRAVEL! This is demonstrated in this 2-lap ride.

ALSO: Guess who was in center-frame, going down? Guess! :)
New Hampshire is very lienient, that's for sure. (Thumbs-Up!)

  • I was told no cameras on December 20 2008 on the 2nd floor right by this MPE, not on it. Who said it? ALLIED BARTON!

  • @elevatorsonly

Probably because my Flip Ultra (used then) just looks like a phone. I can get away with it more, since it doesn't look like a camera.

I did the "Paul Blart" elevator at SSP right in their faces, and they did nothing.

  • @georgef551 Remember when dieselducy said it looked like a candy bar?

  • @elevatorsonly

Whatever makes people think it's not a camera, is good in my book! :)

  • Plus, security is hanging around this MPE and the food court on 2 because the security office is right by this location.
