The Lab presents:

Dissolving Localities

Jerusalem in 360 degrees

An electronic music and video project at 104 arts center in Paris within the framework of the Future en Seine Festival, Paris

What does Jerusalem sound and look like? How can art be created from the daily like of Jerusalem?
Dissolving Localities is a unique artistic project in which Jerusalem is transformed into an artistic tool. Instead of notes and images the artists record The Old City, The market, Jerusalem's neighborhood and gardens and create and audio visual piece which is tapestry of Jerusalem in art interweaving it's inhabitants, prayers, sounds and sights.
Performers: Thomas Koener (GER), Kangding Ray (FRA), Arik Futterman (ISR), Emmanuel Witzthum (ISR)

They will then meet at the 104 arts center in Paris to deconstruct, adapt, splice, sample and remix the city "recreating" it and "performing" Jerusalem.

The performance will be divided into 5 themes from the Jerusalem environment -- Nature, People, Industry, Religion and a mix of all themes together.

At every theme the artists will improvise on the given theme while around the public Jerusalem will be recreated.
