Apple throws budget parts into shiny cases and charge 4x as much as its worth yet its still as slow as a 2 year out of date pc.

Then for 1/2 the price u could get a Nehalem cpu pc with 12GB ram, Bluray drive and gtx280, With 3 year warranty.

Sure Macs are shiny n are coloured like kitchen appliances with freeware UNIX installed, Tho a pc for 1/2 the price will have over 2x the performance.

What really matters? Slow fake tan looks(Mac) or best raw power available for less than 1/2 the price?

Not every studio will need the same equipment (OEM or Custum build). Do you intern at a full production studio or just a post production studio?

Not every studio needs Grass Valley switchers, Camplex System & camera control units. We needed them because we did live events more than anything else. We had an ass kicking suitcase studio for remote shoots.

Ok you fuckhead. If you don't want your client to see your shitty PC, buy a better case. Antec Performance One cases will fuck up any Mac Pro chassis. And Adobe's creative suite products are supposed to compliment each other. If you are a real editor, buy the whole suite. After Effect will shove it's dick up Final cut pro's ass any day. And I would love to see an image editor as comprehensive as photoshop that is specific to mac.

@JacobMac01 I payed about 1.2k for a computer I could have bought from a PC OEM for around 2k or apple for around 3k. The cost advantage is there, no doubt about that. I also used high quality parts (XFX XXX edition GPU, Gigabyte MoBo, G-skill RAM, Hitachi HDD, Antec Case and PSU, LG optical). Those are, at the minimum, as of good of quality as ASUS and Apple, but I payed half as much .

You are retarded, you said it is fine if he goes out and builds a computer that he custom tailored for a certain task. Then the next sentence you knock him down for doing just that! He built the computer and popped specific parts into it for the purpose of helping his video editing, that's great, I don't see why you have a problem with that since you said it fine your self!

In the end, who cares what computer he uses; If it works for the intended job it's great. You need to understand that
