With most of the votes counted in Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovich has over 48% of the vote. Less than 3% behind is Yulia Timoshenko, with just under 46%.

Opposition candidates and supporters are treated similarly. Financial supporters of opposition and dissent are also treated this way or imprisoned, like with Khodorkovsky. Putin, and by default Medvedev, now have the power to choose all governors and mayors, establishing one party hegemony.
