Which dish soap is better for the environment? Students at the 2011 Carnival of Chemistry at the University of Kansas learned how to make smart consumer choices through several hands-on activities sponsored by the Center for Environmentally Beneficial Catalysis.

It's not only important to look for energy efficient ratings and ingredients made from renewable resources. Eco-friendly products must perform the same or better and cost the same or less or no one will buy them. To do better, you have to know better.
