@mrfrozy47 You say you didn't think about it then. My kids actually do and their behavior is always improving. The improvements are cognitive. It may not be easy for some. It has been easy for me.

@queenSayuri No my children are not crazy though two have had therapy for special needs. Special needs kids respond even less to spanking.

I was paddled on my bare bottom as a child when I did something wrong. My parents never used their bare hands because they were for hugging, but spanked me instead usually with a metal reinforced wooden ruler or belt if we were at home, and if we weren't, I was always paddled in private with something like the back of a hairbrush or a belt. I learned right from wrong, and I am all the better for it.

when i was little if i did something wrong and was told to "think about what i did" i wouldent really think about it, just sit there. when i did think about it i always thought "wow that was fun, imma go do it again =D"

You make good points. :) As you've stated, your children are not crazy like so many people like to point out about kids are not spanked. Every child is different!

I compare myself with my husband who was NOT spanked. I grew in Latin America and over there is ok to spank your kids. I grew very aggressive and had problems coping with schools and authorities. I think i was aggressive cause that is the way i was taught to solve problems. My husband on the other side, is very calm and mellow, not aggressive and loving. I resent my mom and i love my dad. My mom did the spankings.
