@Angel187666 In response to your question: No, you can't shoot down a shell, but you don't have to...max range for those guns is 24 miles. As the old adage says: "The best defense is to stay out of range". I served on a LA class attack sub...we knew what was around us for many, many miles, and a cruise missile will put 1,000 lbs of HE within 6 ft of a target up to 1500 miles away...the battleship has to be within 24 miles...it's a simple case of range, and battleships/projectiles are obsolete.
