Giles Martin - son of the legendary George Martin talks about his work at Abbey Road studios. It's all part of the Geoff Lloyd hometime show on Absolute Radio - Discover Real Music
@youngfogey1 you should check out Sir George Martins first son Gregory Paul Martin. He's got a very beautiful accent and a great voice. Sadly he isn't as popular as his other family members cause he didn't go into music.
@p0llenp0ny Similar face and voice, same timbre, different accent! Sir George speaks a mix of the clipped BBC accent of his time (which most people hear) and bits of the North London of that time he grew up in (occasionally 'oi' for 'i'); regrettably nobody talks like that any more! To me Giles sounds Estuary (the middle-class English sound today, shading into Mockney).

Sir George worked for the BBC for about a year before joining EMI/Parlophone in 1950. He worked in their music library department.
