The song is so beautiful,it seems like its hard to mess it up.The first time I heard it was by Al Hibbler,then Roy Hamilton,and finally by The Righteous Brothers,who I saw in person at Byrne Arena in the Meadowlands in Jersey.I love it by them all!!

My beloved mom died at a early 51 when I was 27 .. I had this song sung at her Funeral .

I understand this is the most recorded song ever. Nobody but nobody does it like Al Hibbler. His lilting English accent Adds the final touch to this beautiful melody

Back in the late 70's at a revival show at the Felt Forum in NYC one of the acts was Al Hibbler . When he sang Unchained Melody he received rousing applause.
