  • First of all imust say that the water tower still stands and there was NEVER any flood(some people?) second i must say that this Mill was never being remolded for a hotel, i know because i work there and still do! We only used that portion of the building for storage. Also the portion tof the building to the right is our Event Centre and it never burned and is still in buisness today. The portion of the building to the left is our storage building and also never burned.

  • 01DodgeRAM1500V8- That is correct, the fire started in the rear and burned it's way to the front very rapidly. We all stood there and watched it burned. The city does not own any of this proprety, it belongs to my boss who is a local resident and no he is not sure yet what he is going to do with it. He is going to leave the front of it and restore it since it is a Historical Landmark. It was very sad to watch it burn. And to GrooveDoctor-the water tower still stands. The fire never touched it.

  • after The Old Cotton mill burned about a year later the huge water tower turned over causing flash flood

  • do you live in athens?? i live in georgia as well hehehe
