Dealing With Bi-polar Disorder

I was diagnosed with Bi-polar II about 4 months ago...its quite hard to deal with this and have no one understand...saying you dont need the medication youre fine just snap out of it...My mom called the cops to take me in on a 5150 because i had a very bad break down about a month ago and i was in canyon ridge mental hospital for a week. i met some of the most sane people you could ever meet ironic right? well yeah ill probably do more of these just to vent because i need to get things out...

@lesliewoodson to be honest...it was great. i felt much better after leaving even though it didnt change the people around me =/ i dont really know how to describe it, i guess like a break from my life. i needed to break down before i came back up and canyon ridge was my helping hand.

don't worry,i have been in that situation as i was diagnoses-ed bipolar 8yrs ago. i am from Nepal and people didn't understand me and i stayed comatose. i am 26 yrs old now, i was determined to fight back,so i took medication continuous and my parents were supportive.i got better,i learnt to cope with it,enroll and graduated as a doctor just 2months ago. i am in uk to apply in nhs hospital and currently on low dose lithium.if i can do it,i can also overcome it,as nothing is impossible,believe me

In the modern world there is little acceptance of "spiritual enlightenment" sometimes someone who experiances this can be diagnosed with having bi polar. one thing i ask is that you look up "bi polar or waking up" in fact type it into you tube. if you are meds then your living without true feelings. It will damage your kidneys and give you runing thoughts through your mind. sleep will not be restful. Trust in the lord no other. God Bless, Tom

I know a local psychiatrist that prescribes fish oil and vitamin D to all his patients on top of their normal medication.And this is for all his patients. Schizophrenia, bipolar, ADHD, anxiety, everything. These are mostly kids set up in assisted living homes. I havnt looked up why the vitamin D, but Ive been reading up quite a bit on the fish oil(omega 3) and Im starting my daughter on it as I think she has some ADD or ODD.
