The person that was using Sonic was so skilled! I used to be best with Sonic, but I came across Meta Knight and saw that he was great with Aerials. I wish I could be good with Sonic.

Too much Dsmash, your Dsmash will get stale and won't be able to kill at high percents :/, but yeah you can refresh your move by grab pummeling, Most MK's are Dsmash happy, I try to stay away from that route and land a quick Nair ir my opponent is right on me, or a quick Dair, both work really good!
