Less than 10% of submissions to the Parliamentary plain packaging inquiry have been called to give evidence, and not one of those is representing small business.
There are concerns about the legal issues surrounding intellectual property rights, the impact that plain packaging will have on small retailers, and a number of concerns around anti-counterfeiting that needed to be addressed.
As it stands, the inquiry from the Government controlled Parliamentary Committee has shown no interest in addressing these issues.
