Be sure to listen to Schubert's a minor string quartet , Deutche listing 804 and his string Quinet in C major, D. 956, whose slow movement may be the most serene and glorious music ever created on our humble earth.

@waailappe I'd recommend a few of my personal faves that are similar in mood and beauty, imho:
Try Brahms Op 60 movement 3 (Andante) .
Mendelssohn's Piano Trio in D minor has a beautiful 2nd mvt (and the other mvts too!). It's on youtube.
Another great Schubert mvt is the slow mvt of Piano Trio #2!
Schumann Op 44 Mvt 2 - darker and brooding
Hope these aren't too well-known and boring for you! good luck!

Any chance for sheet music?

the piano and the violin didn't meet the exquisite standard of the cello playing.

Wow! I didn't know about this combination of musicians in chamber music! You always hear of Heifetz, Rubinstein, and Piatigorsky, but not the Menuhins and Gendron. Those were the best groups: soloists playing chamber music. You should see the Dvorak Quintet on my channel if you like good chamber music. The players are also soloists. Thanks for posting this.
