Without question, one of the most talented of the 2009 group of 3yr.old Derby contenders that was racing. IWR had given PON, Chocolate Candy, and Papa Clem all they wanted with change as a 2yr.old in races on the Santa Anita synthetics. But once he came east to Aqueduct and dirt as a 3yr.old, that's when IWR really started to shine. Destroying the Gotham Stakes field. And watching him overcome such a terrible start to get up and still win the Wood, unbelievable.I Hope he makes it back to racing.
