Present during the filing were some of the bill's sponsors, Rep. Teddy Casiño of Bayan Muna, Rep. Liza Maza of Gabriela Women's Party List, and Kabataan Party List Rep. Raymond Palatino.

The artists and filmmakers were represented by Task Force Free the Artists members Carlitos Siguion-Reyna, Lav Diaz, JP Carpio, Dino Manrique, Kiri Dalena, Mario Guzman, Sari Dalena, Keith Sicat, Mavie Deocampo, Teta Tulay, Icy Salem, and Joel Garduce. Also present were Tinay Palabay and Edgie Uyanguren of Rep. Liza Maza's office. The filing itself took place just before lunchtime followed by a press conference.

The bill, entitled AN ACT CREATING THE MOVIE AND TELEVISION CLASSIFICATION BOARD (MTCB), AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES, was finally stamped and filed as HB 6425.
