Looking good and fancy! What made you opt for dual joystick control? Ever consider having touch controls where you tap where you want your character to go and he moves there?

@archerx15 A couple of reasons: you often need to keep moving and there's a lot going on on-screen, so having to touch-a-place-to-move-to-it would get more tedious than simply holding a joypad in a certain direction and it would cause your fingers to cover up important areas of the screen.

Secondly, I originally had only one joypad and a "fire" button, but it meant that in order to shoot a zombie you had to turn and start walking in its direction to face it...which felt awkward.

@ivanisavich Have you considered offering touch to move as an alternative, even if it's more clumsy in your view? I can never quite get to grips with virtual sticks, invisible or otherwise. I would even rather use tilt to move and tap to shoot, or something crazy.

That said, the game already looks enticing and really all you had to say was open world zombie apoc game and I'd be there. Keep up the good work!

@DrKramshaw Touch to move doesn't offer the precision needed to play Zombox.....

I've worked hard to make the touchpads feel intuitive. For example, they track with your fingers so you can drag them around wherever you want and you won't lose your place by accidentally going outside of their original hotspot.

With some (perhaps optional) goals in the game this may likely become a hit app.

I just stumbled upon this preview and you've got my money as soon as it comes out. My biggest gripe about a lot of zombie games is that they are truly and utterly mindless, no pun intended. What is lacking in a lot of zombie games are meaningful missions in the spirit of zombie "lore" (isolation, survival needs such as food/medicine, exploration, conflict with other, etc.) I know some like mindless fun, but a series of good missions could really separate this game for the rest. Looks great!

@koyima I've done tests with fire, but not explosions yet. I'll probably get that ready soon, after I finish the building interiors.

@koyima Hope I didn't come across the wrong way...it's great to hear ideas and feedback. I was just explaining why you probably won't see rocket launchers in the game, unlike many other zombie games with super zombies and super weapons. Feel free to question any and all of my ideas though. I've already made many changes to the game based on peoples' feedback.

Maybe rocket launchers would be a good idea...could be something you could craft using a pipe, gunpowder and a projectile.

@ivanisavich i have no problem with how you want to do them, it wasn't my intention to question your ideas, just to find out if you have any intentions for things like that. I guess this is the most fitting way to do it.
