It was Dave's first night playing with the midi drums but it worked surprising well. Plus Blake's backing harmonies took it to a whole new level. Bazan is sounding better than ever.

Bazan has really started to take these house shows to a whole other realm of performance. It's good to see him pull out this killer tune.

How were the getting the electronic drum sound?

I was surprised how much I liked this sound (the acoustic/electric guitars with electronic percussion). The additional harmony sounds great too. I saw Dave back in 2006 when he was solo and playing clubs and I was surprised how well his music works acoustic.

I guess I should just never be surprised when it comes to Mr. Bazan.
