Whether you're a trek fan or not, her story about trying to balance motherhood with the job of her dreams should be inspirational to everyone in general.

She may just be the only actor in a Trek series, except maybe for Robert Picardo (who is on the Board of Directors of the Planetary Society) and Leonard Nemoy, that really gets what Trek is all about, what the premise of the show is, the purpose of the show is, who the audience really is...etc. etc. I am impressed. And I feel, is the word complimented, maybe honored, that she gets who & what we Trek fans are, and sees it as something to be celebrated.
